Everyone has the same stocks on their list. What differentiates a winning account from a losing one is the skill of proper decision-making. It is no different in any other field. The difference between a professional and an amateur is the superior decision-making skill that a professional possesses compared to an amateur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this day and age where there are a dime a dozen experts, one would be led to believe that everyone is a great decision maker. The reader can decide if the world is full of experts. When the market throws a bunch of winners, many can win. The true test is what percentage of the wins can one hold on to through bull trend as well bear trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many young people have not experienced anything beyond the 2021-2023 bear trend. A few older folks may have seen the 2008 financial turmoil. A few older ones may have been through the dot-com crash of 2000-01. And a handful of really old-timers have seen and lived through Black Monday of 1987. And perhaps even the 1970s market swings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as in life, the true character of a person only shows up when one is under duress. In good times, anyone can flash a smile. The test is if you can flash that same smile with equal sincerity during a severe bear trend?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
