The June 2025 Watchlist

It is common for some of the same stocks to show up on everyone’s lists. Stocks will play a game of musical chairs. Some will come on to the watchlist, others will drop off. Through trial and error, over time, the winners will hang around the longest, longest in terms of time and/or longest in terms of distance traveled from its buy price to sell-stop. Where one’s stop is pegged will determine which stocks will stay and which will drop off. There has to be method to the madness in placing stops properly. No matter what the method, it is critical to make sure the placement of stops is consistent and disciplined. The challenge is to place the stop at the sweet spot – close enough to not give up the gains yet far enough to not get hit by a shakeout.  Not easy.  A shakeout is a shakeout in hindsight.  In real-time you never know.
